Ridouane joined MAROCLEAR in 1999 as a project manager, appointed as Head of IT Division in 2007 and as Chief Information Officer in 2014. He is an Executive IT professional with over 25 years of experience combining deep expertise in technology, capital markets, and cybersecurity.
He conducted complex transformation projects with implementation of suitable, innovative and cost-effective technologies that assure the effectiveness, efficiency and resilience for Moroccan Capital Markets Post-Trade processes. Passionate about tech innovations and particularly the impact of Blockchain technology and AI in capital Market – he spearheaded pioneering Proofs of Concept in 2019 on instantaneous cross-border settlement and blockchain-based registrar services.
He provides consultancy services and technical assistance for Central Banks and Stock Exchange in Africa (BEAC – Central Africa Central Bank, BCEAO – West Africa Central Bank and BVMAC – Stock Exchange of Central Africa).
He is an active member of several industry task forces and working groups. He was appointed Chair of the Technical Committee of the African Exchanges Linkage Project (AELP) in October 2019. He is also a member of the ISSA DLT Working Group and serves as the GBBC (Global Blockchain Business Council) Ambassador for Morocco.
